Baggage Charges
Baggage in excess of the maximum allowance specified in Rule 220 will be accepted for transportation only upon payment of excess baggage charges specified in this rule. Excess baggage charges will apply from the point at which baggage is accepted for transportation to the point to which baggage is checked or transported.

1. APPLICABLE CHARGES
   Each piece of baggage will be subject to the charges prescribed in paragraph B) below, and oversize pieces will be subject to the charges prescribed in paragraph D) below. Where the provisions of Rule 220 indicate a maximum acceptable weight that will be carried free of charge, the weight in excess of that maximum will be subject to the charges prescribed in paragraph C) below. Where piece(s) exceed the maximum weight allowance and/or the piece(s) exceed the maximum size restrictions set forth in Rule 220, charges in paragraphs B, C, and D will apply as applicable.
2. CHARGES
   
   1. For travel between points within the State of Hawaii:

      Checked Bag	Per Piece Charge (Each way)
      First and Second	$17.00
      Third or any additional	$25.00

   2. For all US domestic travel that is not wholly within the State of Hawaii:

      Checked Bag	Per Piece Charge (Each way) via online/kiosk/airport counter check-in
      First	$25.00
      Second	$35.00
      Third–Sixth (per piece)	$125.00
      Seventh or any additional	$200.00

   3. For all US domestic travel that is not wholly within the State of Hawaii, where tickets are issued on/after November 4, 2012:

      Checked Bag	Per Piece Charge (Each way)
      First	$25.00
      Second	$35.00
      Third or any additional	$100.00

   NOTE: BAGGAGE FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE WHETHER CHECKED-IN ONLINE, VIA KIOSK, OR AT AIRPORT TICKET COUNTERS.
3. EXCESS WEIGHT CHARGES
   
   1. Where the baggage weight exceeds 50 lbs. but not more than 70 lbs.:
      1. Between points within the State of Hawaii, the charge will be $25.00 USD per overweight piece.
      2. For all US domestic travel that is not wholly within the State of Hawaii the charge will be $50.00 USD per overweight piece.
   2. Where the baggage weight exceeds 70 lbs. but not more than 100 lbs.:
      1. Between points within the State of Hawaii, the charge will be $50.00 USD per overweight piece.
      2. For all US domestic travel that is not wholly within the State of Hawaii the charge will be $200.00 USD per overweight piece.
   NOTE: Excess weight charges will be assessed in addition to per piece baggage charges and oversized baggage charges if applicable.
   
4. OVERSIZE BAGGAGE CHARGES
   HA will not accept items as checked baggage if in excess of the maximum outside linear dimensions of 80" and/or maximum weight of 100 lbs.
   
   For each piece that exceeds the normal linear dimensions of 62" but does not exceed 80" and does not exceed 100 lbs. the following charges will apply.
   1. Between points within the State of Hawaii, the charge will be $25.00 USD per oversized piece.
   2. For all US domestic travel that is not wholly within the State of Hawaii, the charge will be $100.00 USD for each oversized piece.
   
   NOTE: These charges will be assessed in addition to per piece baggage charges and overweight baggage charges if applicable.
