Shipping Your Pet

Shipping Pets through Hawaiian Air Cargo

  • Pets are accepted through Hawaiian Airlines Cargo if:
    • Your animal is traveling unaccompanied or,
    • You are a passenger on Hawaiian Airlines, but the total weight of your pet and kennel exceeds the 70 pound limit for checked baggage.
  • A booking is required for all live animals traveling on Hawaiian Airlines. When you're ready to book your pet through cargo, please call the Hawaiian Airlines Cargo Capacity Desk toll-free number at 1-877-HA-CARGO (422-2746).
  • You will be able to pre-book a maximum of 30 days in advance and a minimum of 2 days in advance of the desired date of travel.
  • Hawaiian Airlines will accept a maximum of three (3) animals per flight.
  • Cargo shipping rates for live animals are determined by the size (dimensions) of your kennel.
  • Upon arrival at U.S. Mainland cities, live animal shipments will be delivered to the Hawaiian Airlines Cargo facility within 90 minutes.
  • If arriving in Honolulu, all live animals are immediately taken to the quarantine holding station at the Honolulu Airport.
  • All animals must be picked up within 90 minutes after flight arrival, with the exception of animals that will be entering into quarantine.
  • Payment must be made on day of departure at the Cargo facility.  Major credit card or debit card showing Mastercard or VISA logo is acceptable.  Unable to accept cash or personal checks.
