Dear Travel Partner:

As you have probably heard, Aloha Airlines will stop service at the end of the day on March 31, 2008.

Many customers will be affected by this announcement, and we are doing everything possible to help passengers stranded under these circumstances.

Hawaiian Airlines is adding over 6,000 seats to the inter-island market, beginning April 1, 2008. We have increased staff in our reservations call center, and in our airports statewide. A special, toll-free phone line has been set up to provide recorded information for Aloha Airlines passengers at (877) 892-8896.

From April 1, 2008 – April 7, 2008, all inter-island seats on Hawaiian Airlines will be offered at $49 one way (plus taxes and fees). Booking class of service is "L", fare basis code is "L".

The best way to ensure your customers are not stranded is to purchase a confirmed seat, as soon as possible.

From April 1, 2008 – April 3, 2008, we will be accepting Aloha Airlines tickets free of charge, on a first-come, first served, stand-by basis for departure on day of ticketed travel only, based on available seats 30 minutes prior to each scheduled departure. Aloha Airlines tickets for travel after April 3, 2008 are not eligible for standby travel.

Standby travel is one segment at a time. Stand-by passengers may elect to change their destinations to other Hawaiian Airlines US Mainland and Hawaii cities. Mainland tickets are eligible for mainland travel only, inter-island tickets are eligible for inter-island travel only.

Standby travel will secure passengers a seat on a Hawaiian Airlines flight, only if there is space available after all confirmed HA ticket holders are seated. Standby travel is NOT guaranteed. We strongly recommend that you advise your customers against the standby travel option. Due to anticipated passenger volume and airport congestion, this is not likely to be a positive customer experience.

We are instructing customers who purchased through a Wholesaler, Retail or Online Agency to contact their original point of purchase for re-accommodations and/or refunds, as we anticipate extremely high volume in our call center.

Should you or your operations staff need further detail or clarification, please do not hesitate to contact your District Sales Manager. For mainland inquiries please contact 415-293-8107. We appreciate your understanding and support as we strive to minimize the impact on passengers affected by this announcement.
