Q. What does travel protection cover?
A. Covered reasons may include: Reimbursement for unexpected travel expenses; Medical and dental benefits in case of medical emergencies; Arrangement and payment for emergency medical evacuations and repatriations; 24-hour access to emergency medical referrals and assistance. Please see your Certificate of Insurance/Policy for your policy's specific coverage.

Q. Are there events or medical conditions that are not covered?
A. Yes. Every insurance plan contains restrictions and limitations. Existing medical conditions is one of these limitations. Our plan is specifically designed for travelers and covers the unexpected and unforeseen. For more information, please refer to your Certificate of Insurance/Policy.

Q.What is an example of a covered reason for cancellation?
A. There are many covered reasons for cancelling a trip; however, the most common is an injury or illness. For example, a family is planning a summer vacation and a week before the trip, a close relative is admitted to the hospital with a life-threatening illness. The family could file a claim for any prepaid, nonrefundable expenses or other costs associated with a change or cancellation of their vacation plans.

Q. Can I cancel my trip for any reason and get all my money back?
A. No. Trip Cancellation coverage will only refund prepaid, nonrefundable payments if you have to cancel for an unexpected covered reason. If you simply change your mind, you will not be eligible for benefits. Please see your Certificate of Insurance/Policy for complete details.

Q. What is the Satisfaction Guarantee?
A. Allianz Global Assistance will refund your insurance premium if you cancel your insurance within 10 days of purchase and have not filed a claim or departed on your trip.

Q. Why can't I buy protection on the day my trip begins?
A. Travel protection policy coverage generally starts at 12:01 A.M. on the day the scheduled trip begins. Therefore, travel protection cannot be purchased after that time.

Q. Why isn't my travel protection purchase displayed in my travel itinerary?
A. When you purchase travel protection products directly from Allianz Global Assistance, you'll receive a separate confirmation. All policy documentation will be sent directly to you from Allianz Global Assistance.
