Effective March 31, 2022, Hawaiian Airlines has suspended new purchases of Neighbor Island Travel Plans (NITP). This suspension does not affect your existing NITP certificates, which remain available to you – please log in to your HawaiianMiles account to confirm the number of NITP e-Certificates you have.

We are suspending the current program due to comprehensive enhancements we are making to our reservation system. Because these travel plans can be used for up to a year, we are suspending new sales now to help manage our transition to the new system in early 2023. As these upgrades proceed, we are also evaluating better ways to serve the travel needs of our guests and hope to bring to market new solutions that will work even better for members who have enjoyed the Neighbor Island Travel Plan.

I use these plans for the primary purpose of business travel. What are my options now?

I have outstanding flight certificates available on my current Neighbor Island Travel Plan. What happens to those?
Unused flight certificates can continue to be used through their expiration date. Please sign into your Account Dashboard to confirm the number of certificates you have available.

Are there any changes to the terms and conditions under my existing plan?
The current terms and conditions of your Neighbor Island Travel Plan remain the same, including restrictions about advance booking, minimum-night stays and blackout departure times. For reference, we’ve included the requirements below:

• Booking through the plan applies to you only. If you’d like to travel with someone who has their own Neighbor Island Travel Plan or who’s traveling on a regular fare, please call 1-800-367-5320. We can’t guarantee that we can find you seats together, but we’ll do our best!
• Neighbor Island Travel Plans can be used toward non-stop flights between the Hawaiian Islands only. They exclude multi-city trips and itineraries that require a stop in Honolulu.
• Plans are active for 12 months until the last day of the calendar month in which you bought your plan.
• Bookings are made online by you, through your HawaiianMiles account. For any changes to your itinerary, please call 1-800-367-5320.
