Hawaiian Airlines Travel Exception Policy

Passengers who are ticketed for travel from/to or via Hawaii on HA flights from October 16 through October 19, 2014, will be permitted one-time reservation change with waiver of change fee provided that:

  • Ticket was issued on/before October 15, 2014
  • Affected flight(s) is/are scheduled for travel on October 16-19, 2014
  • Change must be made prior to departure time of originally scheduled flight and ticketed on/before October 19, 2014
  • Handling fee for changes made to TTY tickets will be waived

The following change fee waiver policy will apply subject to the aforementioned conditions:

  1. For changes made to new flights that commence on/before October 22, 2014, any resulting difference in fare(s) will be waived provided that change is made to same compartment and there is no change in origin and destination.
  2. For changes made to new flights on any other dates, the change fee will be waived but applicable difference in fare will be collected.
  3. Changes made to HawaiianMiles award tickets may be made to any available booking class without fee provided that changes are made in the same compartment. All new flights for award tickets must commence on/before October 22, 2014. Award ticket changes made for travel after October 22, 2014, will be subject to normal award booking class availability and policies.

Normal refund rules will apply. Applicable cancellation fees for refundable tickets will not be waived and refunds are not permitted on non-refundable tickets related to this event.

In the event that a pre-sold Extra Comfort or Preferred Seat is not available on the new flight or the reservation is cancelled, the Extra Comfort or Preferred Seat fee will be refunded.

Changes must be manually processed by HA personnel as Sabre AER is not equipped to automate these waivers.

TRAVEL AGENCY INSTRUCTIONS

Travel agencies may process ticket exchanges subject to the terms of this bulletin, provided that:

  • Waiver code “TB141015HUR” is entered into the endorsement box
  • PNR is documented with valid OSI message:
    3OSI HA CHANGE DUE TO HURRICANE ANA
  • Tickets must be reissued using electronic tickets with revised itinerary.
