As two airlines with rich histories of connecting communities, we are working together to create a powerful platform for growth and opportunities across both the Hawaiian and Alaska brands.
We are excited to bring you increased benefits, the premium experience that you know and love, and even greater value as you travel on both Hawaiian Airlines and Alaska Airlines. The Hawaiian Airlines and Alaska Airlines brands will remain and your hard-earned miles in both programs are safe.
As we begin the process of aligning the operations of both airlines, Hawaiian Airlines and Alaska Airlines will continue to operate as separate airlines with no immediate changes to our day-to-day operations. We will maintain separate websites, reservation systems and loyalty programs until later in the integration process – an extended process that can take up to 18 months. We will keep you updated along the way. Know that even at the end of those 18 months, both the Hawaiian Airlines and Alaska Airlines brands will remain.
Discover:Your benefits are getting even better
You can experience some of the exciting new benefits of this combination right away, with many more to come over the next 18 months or so. These include:
Expanded global access
You’ll experience seamless nonstop access to 29 international destinations that Hawaiian and Alaska fly across the Americas, Asia, Australia and the South Pacific, plus another 1,200 cities through the oneworld® Alliance and Alaska’s global partners.
Purchase flights on both sites
You can now purchase select Alaska Airlines flights on HawaiianAirlines.com and Hawaiian Airlines flights on AlaskaAir.com – We'll soon add even more options, including international flights to destinations such as Canada and Mexico.
App and website enhancements
In the coming months, we will roll out continued improvements of the digital experience across both brands.
Lounge Access
Each airline’s lounge memberships will remain separate for the time being. Premier Club members, who would like to access an Alaska Lounge when traveling on Alaska Airlines or Hawaiian Airlines, are eligible to purchase a single-entry Lounge Pass where available.
Expanded loyalty benefits
Don’t worry, you will keep all of your miles and both the HawaiianMiles and Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan will remain separate programs while we develop a single loyalty platform. More details on the combined program will be available mid-2025.

Huaka‘i by Hawaiian
We’re excited to announce Huaka‘i by Hawaiian, a new program that will include unique discounts and benefits exclusively for Hawai‘i residents. Huaka‘i members will enjoy exclusive benefits when traveling interisland, including 10% off one booking per quarter and one free checked bag. Plus, members will receive access to exclusive, network-wide deals each month. In the coming weeks, Hawai‘i residents will receive an email with a link to sign up for a free membership along with more details. If you aren’t a part of HawaiianMiles, be sure to sign up now.
A single combined loyalty program
While both airline brands will remain, we are working toward a single combined loyalty program for both Hawaiian Airlines and Alaska Airlines that will deliver the most generous benefits in the industry. More information will be available in 2025.
Seamless miles transfer
Your HawaiianMiles are more valuable than ever. You now have the ability to seamlessly transfer miles between your HawaiianMiles account and Alaska’s Mileage Plan at a 1:1 ratio for no charge, and redeem on Alaska Airlines or Alaska Airlines partner flights. Make sure you have an account in both HawaiianMiles and Alaska’s Mileage Plan. Miles can only be transferred between accounts owned by the same individual. Transfer now.
Status matching
Later this year, elite members in either program will be able to link accounts to have their status instantly matched. And if you have earned elite-qualifying miles (EQMs) in both HawaiianMiles and Mileage Plan in 2024, you’ll have the potential to be awarded an even higher status based on your combined EQM balance. For example, if you’re a HawaiianMiles Pualani Gold member who earned 20,000 elite-qualifying miles this year, and also have MVP status in Mileage Plan with 20,000 elite-qualifying miles earned this year, your combined EQM total of 40,000 means you’ll be awarded Pualani Platinum status in HawaiianMiles and MVP Gold status in Mileage Plan for 2025.
More loyalty benefits on the way
In the coming months, you’ll be able to take advantage of even more features across both loyalty programs including the ability to earn HawaiianMiles on Alaska flights and Mileage Plan miles on Hawaiian Airlines flights, additional redemption options and the ability to enjoy select elite benefits across both airlines.
Together, we offer even more destinations to discover
We’re now serving 141 exciting destinations through our combined networks and over 1,200 destinations via the oneworld® Alliance and our global partners.
