Flight Attendant Recruitment

We are pleased to announce that Hawaiian Airlines is hiring Honolulu based Flight Attendants.

We will be conducting interviews to identify individuals to invite to the Flight Attendant training class that is scheduled to begin Sunday, July 2, 2017 as well as another possible training class later this year. We anticipate inviting 40+ individuals to the July 2, 2017 class.

We will also be interviewing bilingual candidates to attend Language Qualified Flight Attendant classes scheduled to begin on Sunday, September 5, 2017 and November 5, 2017. Priority for both classes will be given to individuals who proficiently speak, read, and translate Japanese or Korean, or those who speak Samoan or French. We anticipate inviting 25+ individuals to each class.
NOTE: Interviews for the September 5, 2017 class will be held in Honolulu, HI while interviews for the November 5, 2017 class will be held in Los Angeles, CA.

All three class dates and details are subject to change based on operational needs.

Eligibility Summary:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Requires 2 years of direct customer experience in the hospitality or airlines industry OR 4 years of customer contact and customer service issue resolution with the general public in industries such as retail, education, health care, and/or professional services.
  • Individuals who previously applied for the Flight Attendant position are eligible to be considered for the position after 12 months have passed from their initial interview date.
  • Individuals who previously attended training for the Flight Attendant position are eligible to be considered for the position after 5 years has passed from their initial training date.

LANGUAGE
QUALIFIED
Same as non-language qualified, PLUS:
  • Ability to proficiently read, speak and translate Japanese or Korean. Reading proficiency includes the reading of Japanese characters (Kanji, Hiragana and Katakana) or Korean characters (Hangul).
  • The ability to proficiently speak Samoan or French.
  • Preference will be given to languages based on operational needs.

Bilingual interviews will be conducted and a language proficiency assessment may be administered as part of the interview process
