Contract of Carriage : Rule 115

Confirmation of Reserved Space

  1. A reservation for space on a given flight is valid when the availability and allocation of such space is confirmed by a reservation agent of HA and entered in the HA's electronic reservations system. Subject to payment or satisfactory credit arrangements, a validated ticket will be issued by HA indicating such confirmed space; provided that such reservation is subject to cancellation by HA if the passenger has not complied with the airport check-in time limit set forth in Rule 135 herein.
  2. Reservations made through HA’s Reservations Call Center and Airport Ticket Counters will be subject to non-refundable surcharge that will apply per ticketed passenger. The following surcharges will be charged in addition to any other applicable fees or additional fare collection, and do not apply to irregular operations or schedule change situations:
    1. For tickets issued on/before October 31, 2013:
      1. Ticketed by HA Reservations Call Center
        1. For travel wholly within Hawaii: 15.00 USD
        2. For travel between the Cont’l US and Hawaii: 25.00 USD
      2. Ticketed by HA Airport Ticket Counters for domestic travel: 35.00 USD
    2. For tickets issued on/after November 1, 2013:
      1. Ticketed by HA Reservations Call Center for US domestic travel: 25.00 USD
      2. Ticketed by HA Airport Ticket Counters for domestic travel: 35.00 USD
  3. Voluntary changes made through HA’s Reservations Call Center and Airport Ticket Counters for tickets issued by travel agencies, online travel agencies, or other airlines in the United States or Canada will be assessed a per ticket handling charge of 25.00 USD, regardless of whether any portion(s) of the ticket has been used. Per ticket handling charges are in addition to any change fees and difference in fare(s) that apply and are non-refundable.
  4. All of HA's flights are subject to overbooking which could result in HA's inability to provide previously confirmed space for a given flight. In that event, HA's obligation to the passenger is governed by Rule 240. The term "overbooking" as used in this rule means the limited acceptance of more confirmed reservations on a given flight than the seating capacity on the aircraft. HA upon request through their reservations office or at the airport ticket office will disclose which flights are overbooked.
  5. Notwithstanding the above, a passenger holding a valid ticket for a confirmed reservation shall be considered to have confirmed reserved space, whether or not there is a record of the passenger's reservations in HA's reservations system.
