Event Details

Learn first-hand what scientists are discovering about the ocean and its inhabitants.

Yearly since 2006, world-renowned presenters have joined the Whale Trust research team on Maui to share the latest findings on humpback whales and their environment. Scientists, photographers, filmmakers and conservationists join the public for a memorable weekend of engaging talks, receptions, and exciting whale watches.

Presentations and the expo at The Ritz-Carlton are free and open to the public, though a suggested $20 donation is encouraged. Benefit whale watches tickets can also be purchased.

Donation beneficiaries include the National Marine Sanctuary Foundation Mammal Health and Stranding Response Program, a large whale disentanglement program in Hawaii; and the Hawaii Whale Research Foundation, which archives whale research data dating back to the 1980s; among many other worthy research trusts and foundations.

For a detailed schedule of events, presentations, registration and tickets, visit www.whaletales.org or call 808-572-5700.
