Event Details

Keiki to kapuna, the Kau Coffee Trail Run’s challenging course meanders over Pahala’s unpaved trails. It’s the perfect race venue, through coffee fields and macadamia nut groves — Kau Coffee Mill’s 1,900 acres featuring courses from half marathon (21K), to 10K and 5K distances.

Marathon veteran runner and 2017 year’s winner in the female division, Bree Wee, said, “This is the hardest half-marathon course in the state of Hawaii. With gigantic climbs and loose rocks, it is wild and crazy.”

One year’s male division winner, Patrick Stover shared the terrain consists of hills, macadamia nut trees, and cut elephant grass. He added that he appreciated the aid stations and the hard work and dedication of the trail coordinators and volunteers.

As well as being challenging, the Coffee Mill’s course may also be the most beautiful, says another Marathon veteran. And, it’s family friendly, according to another Trail Run veteran who completed the 5k run with his children. Race starts at 7 a.m.

Runners need to register, and will receive a race goodies bag, T-shirt, and more.
