21st Annual Maui Heart Walk

{{ msToDate('4/20/2019 12:00:00 AM') | date:'mediumDate'}} · Wailuku, Maui

Event Details

Eight hundred participants are expected to attend this year’s 5K — or 3.1-mile — Heart Walk, part of the American Heart Association’s program to share innovative research along with practical lifesaving habits to prevent heart disease and strokes.

The walk starts at the Keopuolani Regional Park in Kahului at 8 a.m. A health fair with blood pressure and BMI screenings, entertainment and other activities starts at 7 a.m. and runs until 10 a.m.

Heart disease and strokes are two of the three leading causes of death in Hawaii  — 80-percent of heart disease and strokes are preventable simply by eating smarter, adding more fruits and vegetables, and moving more — by walking. Take your first step in the right direction at the Maui Heart Walk.
