Celebrate two days of hula on the sacred grounds of Iolani Palace.

Twenty-one hula halau will perform, along with cultural demonstrations, a Hawaii-themed craft fair, the Royal Hawaiian Band, ono local foods and a special appearance by Kumu Hula Robert Cazimero and his halau.

The Prince Lot Hula Festival is the largest non-competitive hula celebration in Hawaii, honoring Prince Lot Kapuaiwa, who helped reprise hula in the 1850s. Award-winning hula includes a performance by Halau Na Kamalei O Lililehua on Saturday. On Sunday, Halau I Ka Wekiu, led by Na Kumu Hula Karl Veto Baker and Michael Lanakila Casupang, will perform a special tribute to fire goddess Pele, featuring 90 dancers. 

This event is free and open to the public. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own beach chairs and mats. No commercial photography is allowed.
