Event Details

Every August, theater lovers gather at the Hawaiian Mission Houses’ outdoor stage for an enchanting evening of Shakespeare. This year, Hawaii Shakespeare Festival presents, “Much Ado About Nothing,” directed by Jason Kanda, Aug. 1-3, 8-10 and 15-17. 

Food booths open at 5 p.m., doors open at 6:30 p.m. Performance at 7 p.m. 

Hawaiian Mission Houses Historic Site and Archives is located in Honolulu’s Historic Capitol District, and is home to the two oldest, still-standing houses in Hawaii, built by missionaries in the early nineteenth century. The historic grounds provide a fitting outdoor setting for the Hawaii Shakespeare Festival.
