This hike is an easy way to appreciate the ocean on the southernmost point on Kauai while being away from the water’s edge.
From the parking lot walk to your right on the paved concrete path makai (on the ocean side) of the Point at Poipu condominium buildings.
Continue on as the sidewalk ends and the trail becomes a slightly rocky and uneven dirt path.
If the surf is high, waves will crash dramatically on the black lava rocks about 25 yards to your left.
The path dead-ends at another condominium complex. Return the way you came or exit to the street for a shorter walk back to the parking lot.
Park: At the end of Pee Road on the left side of the Point at Poipu resort’s parking lot in the public access spaces fronting the ocean
