Your status will be updated by April 1, 2021. There is nothing you need to do, as your status will automatically be updated. Members can log into their HawaiianMiles account on April 1 to verify their updated status via HawaiianAirlines.com, our website or on the Hawaiian Airlines mobile app.

Yes, a Gold member can still achieve Platinum status if they complete the 2022 elite qualification at the reduced rate, as long as qualifications are met within the 2021 calendar year. To learn more about the number of miles of segments to achieve status, visit this page.

Yes, once a member has achieved Platinum status for member year 2022, they will still receive their Platinum upgrade certificates.

Members can log into their HawaiianMiles account via HawaiianAirlines.com or via our website or the Hawaiian Airlines mobile app.

To qualify for elite membership for 2022, members' travel must be completed during the 2021 calendar year.

Elite-qualifying flight segments and flight mileage are earned from a revenue fare (tickets purchased with dollars, not miles) that earns HawaiianMiles and is operated by Hawaiian Airlines. Segments and miles earned on charter flights, partner airlines, HawaiianMiles partners, bonus miles, or miles earned through the Hawaiian Airlines World Elite MasterCard do not count towards Pualani Elite status. Miles are also not awarded for travel on Flight Awards and therefore these segments and miles are not Elite-qualifying.

Neighbor Island Travel Plan Extension

We'd like members with an active Neighbor Island Travel Plan to have ample opportunity to use any outstanding certificates. Therefore, plans purchased between June 1, 2019 through June 30, 2020 have had booking and travel end dates extended by an additional three months. There is no action needed on your part. All other terms and conditions apply.

No, adjustments have been made automatically to the member’s active plan.

Members can log in to their HawaiianMiles like they normally do to view and redeem an unused certificate. For more information on how to view and redeem certificates, please click here.

No. All Neighbor Island Travel Plans purchased between June 1, 2019 through June 30, 2020 have received the three-month extension to their booking and travel end dates.

We communicated this policy change on January 22, 2021 with an effective date starting January 22, 2021.

The decision to extend the expiration date for an additional 3 months was based on the changing travel environment and limited opportunities for members to use their unused certificates. This policy went into effect as of January 22, 2021 for plans that were purchased between June 1, 2019 through June 30, 2020. If your plan expired prior to this date, this policy is not applicable.
