Main Cabin Basic

Seats

Will I be able to select a seat in advance?
With Main Cabin Basic, seat assignments are not available when booking the flight. Post booking, you may purchase an Extra Comfort to receive a seat assignment. Otherwise, your seat will be assigned when you check in for your flight (as early as 24 hours prior to departure), or at the gate.

How can I purchase an assigned seat?
Extra Comfort or preferred seats may be purchased via MyTrips at any time. You may also purchase Extra Comfort seats when checking in on the web/mobile app, on a self-service kiosk or with an agent at the airport ticket counter.

What is included with my Main Cabin Basic seat purchase?
Selecting assigned seats ensures that your group can be seated together during your flight. Our Extra Comfort guests also receive priority boarding for earlier access to overhead bins. Platinum, Gold, and Premier Club member priority entitlements should still be recognized. However, restrictions related to Main Cabin Basic fares still apply including no bonus miles, changes, cancellations, or refunds.

If I did not purchase as seat assignment, when should I expect to receive a seat assignment?
Guests will either be able to select a seat when they check in (as early as 24 hours prior to departure) or will get assigned a seat at the gate.

Will family members be able to sit together?
Because seats are assigned at check-in, starting 24 hours prior to departure, we cannot guarantee that your family will be able to sit together. If it’s important for you to have all family members sit together, we recommend that you select another fare option with less restrictions.
