Membership is free and gives you special travel perks including a free checked bag between the islands, quarterly Neighbor Island discounts, and monthly rotating deals. Free checked bag
All members receive one free checked bag — which includes sports equipment like a surfboard or golf bag — on Neighbor Island flights operated by Hawaiian Airlines. That means more space for omiyage and every member of the family is eligible. Hawaiian Airlines® World Elite Mastercard® primary cardmembers continue to receive their card benefit of two free checked bags.
Quarterly fare discounts
Every three months, members are emailed a discount code for 10% off one Neighbor Island booking. Hawaiian Airlines® World Elite Mastercard® cardmembers receive 20% off one booking per quarter.

Introducing Atmos™ Rewards
From our Island home to the world beyond, we’re proud to unveil our new combined loyalty program with Alaska Airlines. On Oct. 1, 2025, your HawaiianMiles membership will transition to Atmos Rewards.
2. Neighbor Island Discounts:
- Members receive four unique one-time use discount codes per year, each providing 10% off neighbor island flights marketed and operated by Hawaiian Airlines. These codes can be used for one-way or round-trip travel for one passenger.
- Hawaiian Airlines® World Elite Mastercard® cardmembers and Hawaiian Airlines® World Elite Business Mastercard® cardmembers receive a 20% discount instead of the 10% discount. Cardmember account must be in open status on the first day of the month of each new quarter to remain eligible for the 20% discount.
- Each code will be valid for travel during each quarter of the year.
- Travel effective Jan 1 – Mar 31
- Travel effective Apr 1 – June 30
- Travel effective July 1 – Sept 30
- Travel effective Oct 1 – Dec 31
- Note, discount codes for 1Q2025 will be for travel effective January 8, 2025
- Discount codes will be issued on the first of the month prior to the start of a new quarter.
- Each discount code applies only to the Huaka‘i by Hawaiian member to whom it is issued, and not to any other passengers on the same reservation. If more than one Huaka’i by Hawaiian member is traveling, a separate reservation must be made for each discount used.
- Only one discount code may be applied to a reservation. Discount code is not combinable with other promotional codes or discounts.
- Discount code does not apply to taxes and fees.
- Discount codes will be distributed by email and will not be available within the guest’s online account.
- Purchases must be made on HawaiianAirlines.com.
- Members receive one free checked bag on neighbor island flights marketed and operated by Hawaiian Airlines.
- Member’s HawaiianMiles number must be on the reservation before bags are checked to be eligible for the free bag benefit.
- Benefit is not available when checking in with a codeshare or airline partner.
- Member’s number may not be changed from HawaiianMiles to another program for any part of the reservation when the free-checked-baggage benefit has been used.
- Free checked bag benefits for Pualani Elite members, Hawaiian Airlines World Elite Mastercard cardmembers, and Premier Club members still apply.
- Huaka’i by Hawaiian free checked bag benefit is not combinable with other free bag entitlements.
- Members have access to monthly fare sales and exclusive deals, communicated via email and social media.
- Fare sales are accessible without a log-in and therefore are accessible to the general public if shared. Hawaiian Airlines maintains the right to notify and grant access to any sale before publishing it to Huaka’i by Hawaiian members, in Hawaiian Airlines’ sole discretion.
