Requirements for traveling to Hawaii
There are no travel restrictions for travel into Hawaii from the Continental U.S. or a U.S. territory, nor are their requirements for travel within the Hawaiian Islands. As of March 26, you no longer need to quarantine, take a COVID-19 pre-travel test or show proof of vaccination. You also do not need to create a trip within the Safe Travels website for your U.S. domestic flights.
Returning to American Samoa
As of Nov. 15, 2022, American Samoa relaxed its entry requirements, allowing individuals to enter the territory without vaccination proof or exemptions. Guests traveling to Pago Pago (PPG) MUST complete the American Samoa Travel Declaration online prior to departure or a paper form upon arrival in PPG.
U.S. citizens and nationals must possess a valid passport, travel document, or certified birth certificate, along with proof of return or onward travel, unless they can demonstrate residency or family ties to American Samoa. For more details, click here.
